Robert grew up in New York  raised by his father who struggled just to keep food on the table. It was rough for Robert and his dad,  although his dad instilled moral teaching in him to do right, the influence of the streets, (peer pressure)  took Robert another direction mentally.

Like any "HOOD" you aren't cool unless you're smoking, drinking, pants sagging, living that "thug life". Robert did it all, knew it all, you couldn't tell Robert nothing when it came to the streets, gang banging for him was in full affect. When Robert tuned 14 his dad died, Robert  was forced to moved to Los Angles with a relative, he was going  into his freshmen year in high school.

Living in LA Robert had to decide rather he  wanted to continue a life of gang banging, being that he was new to the community, Robert  didn't know anybody, the gangs were a lot tougher, Robert didn't know how to approach the new kids who knew nothing of his life in New York. Robert took off the old banging jacket and became a totally new person. Robert knew his dad didn't want that type of life for him.

Robert became a 3.0 GPA student in (high school)  specializing in math, Robert says he's good with numbers. At 18 Robert landed a job with Nissan Santa Barbra; after graduating from high school working in the summer months gave Robert an opportunity to save up money for a car while attending Santa Barbra City College as well.

Robert at 22  eventually purchased his first car, moved to the Antelope Valley (Palmdale) lives in a 2 bedroom apartment and currently  works for AV Nissan as a Salesmen. Robert  recently formed  his L.L.C (Limited Liability Corporation) Which  the state of California recognizes Robert as a business owner. Robert says he's planing on owning his own corporation some day.  LHN applaud Robert Mathews for over coming the hard challenges of life, and seeing a positive  bright future for himself.
